Letting Go

At some point, you reach a point where you realize
that you no longer need to fight because it’s not getting you anywhere.
You realize that you can’t or don’t have to do anything anymore.
You can’t force anything.
When you realize this, everything falls apart and then there is silence. Then suddenly everything becomes light and empty inside you.
You start to let go of what you were clinging to, hopes, people or things from your past that you didn’t want to or couldn’t accept.
You realize that you can no longer change any of this.
No matter how much you believe in it.
No matter how much you wish you could.
No matter how much you fight against it.
No matter how much it hurts.
What should happen, happens.
What wants to go, goes.
What wants to be with you stays or comes back to you of its own free will. At some point, the pain and the fear of letting go will be over.
Then you will gradually free yourself from fears, feelings of guilt and the constraints of everything that holds you down.
And you go your own way, packing your suitcase with what remains.
A suitcase full of experiences, insights and memories.
Your path lies ahead of you, you can’t see it yet,
but you feel the time has come.

You start again with the first step …
